And today to kick things off we’re bringing you our selection of the top real life triathlon race routes you’ll find on the platform. Whether you’re preparing for a specific race, or trying to plan out your future race calendar and interested in finding out what the bike course might be like. These are the routes you won’t want to miss.
Challenge Family routes on ROUVY
Got a Challenge Family race on the calendar? Preparing has never been easier. You’ll find plenty of the Challenge Family race courses ready to ride on ROUVY. If you’re yet to pick a specific race, here are some of our favourite routes available on the platform.
Challenge Roth
Obviously we’ve got to start with arguably one of the most iconic triathlon events on the planet. The Tour de France of triathlon, famous for its rolling hills and 10 deep crowds out on the bike course. Being able to ride the course on ROUVY before race day is a great way to practice pacing yourself on the climbs. The marathon course at Roth packs a punch with some hills at the latter stages, so making sure you don’t get carried away on the bike.
And even if you aren’t one of the lucky few who’ve managed to get a spot on the start list. It’s still well worth checking out the course on ROUVY, even if it’s just to get an appreciation for just how fast the PROs manage to go on this undulating route.
Challenge Taiwan
Challenge Taiwan is one of Asia’s biggest and fastest selling out triathlons. Each year, the small city of Taitung becomes the temporary home to over 7,000 triathletes. And while for many of us, getting to experience the course might be a pipe dream for now (though it’s well worth making the trip if you can!) the stunning bike course is certainly worth riding on ROUVY. Snake along the coastline with the Pacific Ocean and the Carp Mountains providing a stunning background. If you need to get a few hours done on the trainer, the Challenge Taiwan will make the miles fly by.
Challenge St Pölten
Given that it made our round up of the best middle distance bike courses, of course we’re going to recommend you check out the Challenge St Pölten bike route on ROUVY. Perfect for training for a hilly middle distance triathlon, this ROUVY route will make indoor cycling feel easy with the incredible backdrop of the Wachau Valley to keep you entertained.

Challenge Wanaka
A bucket list race, riding the Challenge Wanaka bike course on ROUVY is the ultimate escapism. And if you’re lucky enough to be racing Wanaka, a brilliant way to prepare given it made it on to your list of the world’s toughest middle distance triathlons.
Experience the stunning scenery of New Zealand’s Southern Alps, with plenty of elevation to get your climbing legs working.
Other iconic triathlon routes on ROUVY
Alongside the Challenge Family routes on ROUVY, there are also a couple of other iconic triathlon playgrounds to explore if you know where to look.
Kona Dreaming – ride Hawaii Island
Pretty much every triathlete dreams of riding along the Queen K in Kona. And while the heat and the Hawi descent cross winds aren’t included, you can at least experience the iconic volcanic landscapes and pretend you’re on your way to becoming a world champion by riding the route on ROUVY. Plus, it’s also a great option for those of us who have qualified and need some motivation when we’re sweating it out on the turbo doing heat prep!
If you don’t fancy taking on the full 180km route, there’s also a shorter route titled Hawaii | Queen Ka’ahumanu Highway which is half the distance taking you up to the top of Hawi.
St George Utah
The jagged orange rock faces of St George, Utah have earned themselves a place in triathlon history in recent years. And the 33km route on ROUVY is a great way to get a bang for your buck session in, with just shy of 350m of climbing.
